Winchester Bay - Douglas, OR Fishing Report on 22nd Jul, 2026

The morning bite was on the pickier side, but persistence paid off with a solid mixed-bag payload! We headed out early to work the local coastal structure and set the crab pots before making a few drifts for bottomfish.

While the fish were making us work a bit harder than usual for every strike, we managed to locate a quality grade of rockfish to round out the coolers alongside a nice haul of fresh Dungeness crab.

Location: Central Oregon Coast (Winchester Bay / Coos Bay area)

Bite Conditions: Tougher, slower bite morning—required cycling through different presentations and fishing key structure to coax the fish into biting.

Overall Result: Great morning on the water with fresh seafood limits brought back to the dock!
